COVID-19 response for flood shelters

The Central Disease Control Headquarters, together with local governments, will strengthen COVID-19 prevention and control measures in flood shelters to prevent virus spread.
Supplies such as masks and self-administered test kits will be provided to the shelters and periodic disinfection and ventilation of facilities will be conducted.
In the event of a confirmed case, the patient will be immediately transferred and isolated to a nearby private-sector accommodations. Faster preion and bed allocation will be ensured for patients in high-risk groups.
Furthermore, COVID-19 in the temporary shelters for flood victims will be monitored daily, and inspections will be conducted by central and local governments to make any improvements as needed.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters said it will take thorough measures for preemptive prevention of COVID-19 outbreak in the flood affected areas, where the recovery is underway.
