2nd Vice-Minister of Health and Welfare Park Minsoo Meets with Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to the Republic of Korea to Discuss Cooperation in the Healthcare Industry

On April 12, 2nd Vice-Minister of Health and Welfare Park Minsoo met in Seoul with the Morocco ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Chafik Rachadi, to discuss ways to expand cooperation in the healthcare industry.

The meeting was held at the request of the Moroccan government to solidify bilateral cooperation in the industry. The Moroccan government purchased diagnostic kits from Korea during the COVID-19 pandemic, and recently built a vaccine production plant in the country, with a keen interest in the bio-health industry.

At the meeting, Vice Minister Park explained Korea’s policies on bio-health, digital healthcare and high-tech regenerative medicine that the Korean government is implementing, and proposed that the two countries further pursue bilateral cooperation in various areas of the healthcare industry.

Furthermore, they agreed to work on signing an MOU(Memorandum of Understanding) on healthcare industry cooperation between their respective health ministries.

Ambassador Chafik Rachadi emphasized that Morocco hopes to work closely with Korea in the healthcare field, and expressed high hopes for future cooperation between the two countries.

Vice Minister Park said, “During the meeting, we were able to reaffirm each other’s willingness to work together in the healthcare field. I hope our two countries will further solidify bilateral cooperation in the years to come.”
