20th Social Welfare Day (September 6) to Commemorate 20th Anniversary of National Basic Living Security Act
- Toward an inclusive welfare state that guarantees people’s basic living -
- Medals and commendations as well as governmental, private, and national assembly citations were given to 199 people for their contribution to social welfare -
Celebrating the 20th Social Welfare Day, the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW, Minister Neunghoo Park) held a commemorative event on September 6 at the Grand Ballroom of Yeouido 63 Convention Center under the theme of “Inclusive Welfare to Guarantee People’s Basic Living.”
The commemorative event for Social Welfare Day* has been hosted by the MOHW and organized by the Korea National Council on Social Welfare (President Sangmok Seo) to ensure that the public has a better understanding on social welfare and to encourage social welfare workers since 2000.
