Park Neung-hoo, Vice Head 1 of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, Attends the Opening Ceremony of the Gyeongbuk Daegu 3 Community Treatment Center (Mun-gyeong Seoul National University Hospital Training Center)

At 14:30 of March 4th (Wed), Park Neung-hoo (Minister of Health and Welfare), Vice Head 1 of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, attended the opening ceremony of the Gyeongbuk Daegu 3 Community Treatment Center (Mun-gyeong Seoul National University Hospital Training Center) to check the center and its operation.

The Gyeongbuk Daegu 3 Community Treatment Center was designated thanks to the generous support from the Seoul National University Hospital, which allowed the use of its education facility as a treatment center and dispatched medical professionals. The center will begin admitting confirmed cases from the morning of March 5th (Thu).

A total of 99 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with mild symptoms will stay at the center for treatment. If capacity permits, patients from regions other than the Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, such as Daegu, may also be admitted.

The community treatment center is a facility for mild cases determined by the public health center and patient management department of the municipal and provincial governments. These cases do not require hospitalization as they are not in high-risk groups and have no or mild symptoms.
