Mr. Kwon Deok-cheol Inaugurated as the 54th Minister of Health and Welfare (December 24)
- Ceremony Held Online due to COVID-19 Situation -
The Ministry of Health and Welfare (Minister Kwon Deok-cheol) held the online inaugural ceremony for the 54th Minister Kwon Deok-cheol at the Government Building in Sejong on December 24.
Due to the aggravating coronavirus situation, the ceremony was attended by a small number of people and was streamed online for all other members of the agency.
In his inaugural speech, Minister Kwon emphasized his commitment to overcoming the current crisis with the employees and the public as the head of the agency primarily responsible for the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
He also proposed five tasks to ensure an innovative inclusive nation and promised to do his best to bring comfortable daily life to the Korean people.
