Ceremony Held to Commemorate 2022 Day of Suicide Prevention

The Ministry of Health and Welfare, together with the KFSP(Korea Foundation for Suicide Prevention), held the ‘Ceremony to Commemorate the Annual Day of Suicide Prevention, 2022’ at the Grand Ballroom, Millennium Hilton Seoul, on September 7 (Wednesday, 2 p.m.).
The Day of Suicide Prevention is an anniversary that has been declared since 2011, on every September 10, to make known the priceless value of human life and the severity of suicide issues to the public.
The theme of ceremony is “Share yourself with others” which is a newly molded slogan for Suicide Prevention Campaign of South Korea. This implies that saving lives begins with sharing your care and concern to your loved ones.
In the ceremony, total 37 of individuals and organizations won the official commendation from the Minister of Health and Welfare for their great efforts to suicide prevention through the year.
*Commendations and prizes granted to 90 individuals and entities (granted to 37 on site, and to 52 via mail).
